Engineering from circuit to cloud
From the circuit to the cloud, under a single contract.
INOVAeye designs the hardware, writes the firmware, ships the backend and delivers the interface. It is the same engineering that turned a braille research line into a product installed and in daily use in a public school in Fortaleza.

One supplier, from sensor to dashboard
Hardware, firmware, backend and interface come from the same team. There is no handoff between suppliers for the project to get lost in.
No integration noise
Whoever designs the board is whoever writes the API that consumes it. The classic failure points of a project split between two suppliers simply never appear.
Architecture decided end to end
Firmware choices already account for what the cloud will need — and the other way around. That shows up in the cost of running the system, not only in the cost of building it.
What the company sells
Two practices, one engineering team
These are two offers for different buyers, with very different decision cycles. This site does not blend them together.
Our own product
Assistive technology
Sala Braille: a braille literacy ecosystem for inclusive schools — devices, app, teacher training and ongoing technical support.

Custom-built projects
Web systems, embedded and IoT, apps, integrations and applied AI — from the bench prototype to the system in production.
For industry, companies and R&D programmes
See the five practicesEngineering under contract
Five practices, one continuous engineering team
Each practice covers one layer of the problem. Together they remove the friction between a hardware supplier and a software supplier — which is where most end-to-end projects fall behind.
Web and business systems
E-commerce, SaaS platforms, monitoring dashboards and custom control systems. Delivered running, with the infrastructure configured.
Embedded systems and IoT
Application hardware and firmware, with physical prototyping and custom enclosures — laser cutting, 3D printing and machining in our own workshop.
Apps and APIs
Control apps and integration APIs that connect device, legacy system and cloud.
Special solutions
Systems for people who will never install an app: device control, configuration and reports through text or voice messages on WhatsApp. It grew out of a real need in family farming.
Applied AI and LLMs
LLM integration, RAG architecture over the company's own knowledge base, and an intelligence layer on top of the data the systems already produce.
How the project runs
Four stages, no black box
The real objection from a buyer is not whether we can build it. It is how they will follow along.
-
01
Diagnosis
Understand the problem before proposing the solution — and say so when the solution is not software.
-
02
Prototype
The hypothesis becomes something working on the bench or on screen as early as possible, so it can be disproved cheaply.
-
03
Build
Partial deliveries at short intervals. You watch the system grow rather than read a report about it.
-
04
Operate
The system goes live with us alongside it. Infrastructure support is part of the project we delivered — not a separate hosting service.
Case studies
Real projects, from challenge to result
Three of the ones that made it off the drawing board — or off the breadboard.
Accessibility
Sala Braille
- Challenge
- Bring braille literacy to inclusive schools — not with a single device, but with an ecosystem of equipment, an app, teacher training and support.
- Result
- Pilot room installed and in use at EEF Instituto dos Cegos, in Fortaleza, since November 2024. The SlateBraille digital slate has a patent filed at the INPI.
Family farming
Soil and hydroponic irrigation control over WhatsApp
- Challenge
- Build an irrigation controller able to get past the technology barrier faced by farming families in rural Brazil — for whom installing an app is already the obstacle.
- Result
- A system that sends periodic reports and is configured and commanded through text or voice messages on WhatsApp, with no app to install.
Legal services
Chat platform connecting clients and lawyers
- Challenge
- Connect people with legal questions to specialist lawyers, with real-time conversation and an app-like experience on mobile.
- Result
- A PWA with real-time chat, authentication and self-hosted infrastructure, in production.
What you can verify
Evidence, not adjectives
Every item below can be checked by a third party. That is the entry requirement for this list.
-
Sala Braille installed and in use at EEF Instituto dos Cegos, in Fortaleza, Brazil, since 29 November 2024, in partnership with the Ceará State Department of Education.
-
The SlateBraille digital slate has a patent filed at the INPI, the Brazilian patent office.
-
The technology originated in PORTÁCTIL, a project approved by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and developed with FNDE funding.
-
A continuous research line at the Applied Research and Automation Development Laboratory of IFCE.

Facilities
Where the work happens
INOVAeye is a partner of Instituto Iracema de Pesquisa e Inovação and works out of its facilities in Fortaleza, Brazil — the same laboratories where the Sala Braille technology was developed.
Hardware laboratory
SMD production
Mechanical prototyping
Embedded systems
Software development
Demonstration room
The Sala Braille line assembled and running, open to visits from schools and school networks.
The laboratories belong to Instituto Iracema, a non-profit association founded in 2012 by professors of IFCE. The accreditations, agreements and market partners listed on the Institute's site belong to the Institute, not to INOVAeye.

Who does the work
A senior core with laboratory backing
INOVAeye works with a small, senior core: the project is led by the people with their hands on the code and on the bench, backed by the laboratory facilities of Instituto Iracema and by specialists brought in per practice when the scope calls for it. The core engineering is not outsourced.
Director
Bruno Martins
Designs the application hardware and firmware, ships the backend, delivers the interface, and takes the prototype to its final physical form through custom modelling and digital fabrication.
